Since an early age, my father has been sharing with me his passion and lifelong pursuit of vintage bicycles and motorcycles. Hundreds of machines have entered his shop, but none more auspicious than the one he flipped the world over to find.
In 1990, he became aware of a bicycle manufacturer that in 1890 pioneered America's transition onto two wheels, and whom would later go on to produce one of America's first motorcycles - before Harley-Davidson, and before Indian. The company shared our family name, the old factory just a few miles from where my dad grew up, and its most preeminent rider a graduate of my very high school. We dug deeper, and the coincidences continued.
With nearly three-decades of research and archiving behind us, we are excited to announce the Keating Wheel Company will once again be making bicycles, and happily under the name that started it all.
Come on in and see what we're up to.
